  • €205,000
  • 4 bedrooms
Only €205,000 for two detached properties. 1 large family house and 1 smaller annexe. If you want a home in the countryside but all the facilities of a big town only 20 minutes away, this is for you.
A lovely detached house, we use two rooms as bedrooms but the study and music room have also been used as bedrooms so potentially 4 bedrooms, on a very quiet road, with approx 1 acre (4046 sq m) of flat land, amazing views plus a newly renovated annexe which is ideal for family, visitors or use as a studio/hobby area (music studio, craft area) or could be used for renting out.
The village
Our house is in the village of Chãos, Ferreia do Zezere about 15 â€` 20 mins north of the lovely Templar town of Tomar which has every facility you could need and is 1 hour 20 mins to Lisbon airport. Although near to facilities, during the week it is quiet. Sunday there is a market from 9am â€` 11am where you can buy meat, fish, bread, cakes, fruit and vegetables among other things. The association opens every Sunday morning and you can enjoy a cup of coffee overlooking the market.
There is also a typical Portuguese cafe which is open everyday of the week opposite the market and about a 1 min walk from our house.
The post office is open every weekday afternoon and Sunday mornings. The Junta is open twice a week, there is also a Multi Banco machine outside the post office. All of this is a minutes walk away.
A 3 min drive away is a small but very good local supermarket, a busy cafe, a petrol station and hardware/builders merchant who deliver.
The River Beach at Agroal is only a 12 min drive away where you will find a lovely river beach, restaurant and cafe.
The lakes, with numerous watersports, cafe and restaurant are only a 25 minute drive.

House details
The house is connected to fibre optic internet.
The house has mains water, electricity, septic tank and bottled gas. We use gas for the hot water and one bottle, costing between 30 and 35 euros, lasts between 6 and 9 weeks depending on season.
New railings all round September 2021 â€` there is a gate so that access from the patio door in the lounge can be secure and safe for children or dogs.
The windows are double glazed with insulated shutters (no shutters downstairs) â€` new about 7 years ago.
New meter and upgraded fusebox approx 7 years ago.
The smaller garden (actually quite big) is fully fenced as we have two dogs - the larger garden isn`t. You can drive into the back garden to park if you wish but there is easy parking in front of the house and we park two cars there. There is also the possibility of reinstating the garage that was previously in use, now converted to a big bedroom.
